AIDA Depth Competition Safety Freediver

AIDA Competition Safety Freediver by Vertical Blue Professional Safety Freediver® is the most comprehensive safety program available, comprising over 30 years of high level competition experience. The goal of this program is to standardise safety protocols for all AIDA competitions and set an example for freediving safety worldwide. The AIDA Competition Safety Freediver course will allow prospective safety diving students to specialize in both pool and depth competitions and earn different certifications, enabling them to take part in a variety of AIDA events.

AIDA Pool Competition Safety Freediver

AIDA Monofin Freediver

The AIDA Monofin Freediver Course is a specialised course for the development of correct monofin technique. The students will be introduced to specific stretching and exercises that will help them improve their monofin kicks while obtaining a better fluidity and streamlined position underwater. This course consists of one theory session and two water sessions (one pool and one open water or two pool sessions)

AIDA Freediving Emergency Medical Responder Course (FEMR)
Duration: 2-3 Days (depending on participant numbers) The course consists of an independent online theory section and a practical class with the instructor.

The AIDA FEMR Course is the first ever specific first aid for freediving course created by any freediving agency. As more people enter the sport of freediving, it was imperative that there was a medical course that addressed not just the basic first aid but also a more advanced level of health care education, specifically addressing freediving related illness and injury incedence. The FEMR course differs from traditional first aid courses by introducing the pathophysiology of illnesses and injuries, with an emphasis on freediving-related injuries such as barotrauma, squeezes, lung injuries, hypoxia, narcosis, decompression illness, immersion pulmonary edema (IPE/IPO), and ear injuries and treatment. The FEMR course is a must for freedivers especially those who are conducting independent training regularly and / or starting to freedive deeper. |
AIDA Youth Water Safety Skills Courses
By developing the specific youth water skills courses, AIDA is at the forefront of this field of education. The AIDA Youth Programme teaches water skills to children from 6 to 15 years old. There are three courses for children from 6 to 11 years old — Bronze, Silver and Gold Dolphin — and an AIDA Junior course for adolescents from 12 to 15 years old. Each course has a section for parents on proper post-course supervision of children in the water.
